About Me

Outside of tech, I'm an American living in the United Kingdom. I’m the father of three (mostly) lovely boys.

When it comes to tech, I'm a Leicester based web developer and I’ve been building software since 1996. I've worked for companies like IBM, Boeing, Federal-Mogul, 3M and BSS. I enjoy working with tech like C#, Java, Javascript/Typescript, React/React Native, Angular, NodeJS and Python. I also spend a fair bit of my time at work (and even more after hours) helping newer folks grow as developers.

I'm the technical lead for a software development consultancy based in the heart of Leicestershire called Computer Conquest. I also volunteer quite a bit in my local community; gardening, picking litter and have even adopted the town train station!

When I'm not working, podcasting, writing, volunteering or just generally being "dad", I enjoy running, cycling, hiking and I love to take photos. I tend to take landscape and floral macro shots. If you're interested pop down to the bottom to see some!

I act as CTO for a fashion startup focused on building the future of fashion trend analysis!

For fun, I built a high quality WebRTC audio recorder to make it easier to record guests on the podcast.

I developed one of the biggest embeddable web chats on the internet. It ran for over 20 years and had millions of users!
